Tournament Schedule – Saturday, February 29 th - Tournament Day

Registration - Each person on the boat must be entered in the tournament.

Rules - The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rules for size and catch limits for the State of Florida and any other jurisdiction that may have regulations in effect within the tournament waters. Any state or federal law that conflicts with these rules shall override these rules. All anglers are responsible for knowing and abiding by the rules of the tournament and by the state and federal laws governing fishing in this tournament.

All fish must be caught and weighed-in on the tournament day, during the
tournament hours designated. Fish must be caught in a sporting manner using a rod and a reel. No spearfishing is allowed. Live & artificial baits are allowed.

The use of a fishing guide is allowed in the tournament. If you would like more
information on a guide service, please see a Sodium associate for details and
recommendations.

Hours - Tournament fishing hours are from safelight until weigh-in at 4:00 pm on
Saturday, February 29 th, 2020. Anglers must be in line ready to weigh-in at 4:00 PM. Only those anglers in line and ready to weigh-in at 4:00 PM will be weighed in. Weigh-in will open at 2 pm. (NEW THIS YEAR) Weigh-in will be held back at Sodium Fishing Gear.

Tournament Weigh-In – This is a BIG FISH (by weight lbs) tournament. Any
fish over-sized will be disqualified. Fish will be weighed-in at Sodium Fishing
Gear in Crystal River. Fish must be brought to the scales and must be weighed-in by a member of the boats fishing team. Only fish caught during tournament hours are eligible for weigh-in. Anglers have the right to ask for one flip of the fish for measuring.

Eligible Species - Redfish and Speckled Trout

All fish must be of legal size and caught in a sporting manner by a registered
tournament angler. The Tournament Rules Committee reserves the right to inspect a fish both internally and externally. Any fish that contains unnatural materials or that has been manipulated in any way will be disqualified.

Sportsmanship - All contestants are expected to conduct themselves in a
courteous and sportsmanlike manner throughout the event. Unruly conduct or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate
disqualification without refund.

Payouts
Payouts are presented as follows:
1st Place Largest Redfish $2500.00
2nd Place Largest Redfish $1250.00
3rd Place Largest Redfish $750.00
Redfish with most spots $1000 (Tiebreaker goes to largest redfish)
1st Place Largest Trout $2500.00
2nd Place Largest Trout $1250.00
3rd Place Largest Trout $750.00

One payout per Big Fish Category per team. The maximum a team can win is
$6000. (2 1 st places and most redfish spots)

Sodium Big Fish tournament winners will be required to fill out a W9 form before you can pick up your winnings check.

Sodium Fishing Gear has a 3 rd party handling all weighing, measuring, and making all-tournament calls for Sodium’s Big Fish Tournament.
